Hi everybody! We’re making a few tweaks to the site to freshen things up a bit for the new season. You do know Chuck season 2 starts September 29th, right?
To celebrate the new season, we’ve added a lovely new picture of Yvonne on the sidebar.
As we get ready for Season 2, stay tuned to Strahotski.com for lots of new content. Also, don’t forget that Chuck - The Complete First Season will be coming to DVD on September 16th, followed by Blu-Ray on November 11th.

A new year is upon us and it looks bright for our favorite actress, Yvonne Strahovski.
Though the writer’s strike still threatens the second half of the season for Chuck, it seems certain that we’ll see Chuck return some time in 2008. When it does, you can count on Strahotski.com to bring you updated screen captures and episode reviews.
In addition, Yvonne stars in The Canyon which will be released this year. With any luck, we’ll also see the US premieres of films such as The Plex and Persons of Interest.
To start off the year, let’s catch up on what we missed during the holidays:
If you have any news we’ve missed, let us know! If you just want to talk about Yvonne with fellow fans, check out our forums.

Happy Holidays from Strahotski.com!
Rob and I couldn’t be happier with the community that’s built up around the site, and in this time of giving we’d just like to say thank you to all of you who have made this site so successful.
With Chuck on hiatus and the holidays upon us, our post count may slow down a bit over the next week or two, but I’ve compiled a list of things you can do to keep Yvonne close during the holidays.

- Visit the Strahotski Forums — they’re extremely active and it’s a great place to bond with fellow Yvonne fans!
- Get Strahotski Gear — nothing says lovin’ like a “Got Strahovski?” t-shirt. Impress you friends and attract new Yvonne fans!
- Check out the Strahotski Gallery — it doesn’t matter how many times you’ve seen them before, there’s no such thing as too much Yvonne!
- Read Chuck Reviews — I wrote my reviews on each episode, catch up during the offtime! Give us your take in the comments.
- Deck the Halls — with 5 fan wallpapers and 7 official Strahotski wallpapers, you can adorn every computer you find with Ms. Strahovski!
With that much stuff to do, you can always get your Yvonne fix as we wait for the return of Chuck and the other exciting projects that Yvonne has in store.
Lastly, we’d like to wish a special Happy Holidays to Yvonne.
Without her, this community would never have been able to come together. Feel free to leave your Holiday wishes for Yvonne in the comments. Who knows if she’ll read it, but it’s the thought that counts, right?

Reader Tungsten just tipped me off on the forums to an interview with Adam Baldwin and the lovely Yvonne Strahovski.
It’s a great interview that you can read here, but I want to quote this particular part:
Yvonne: Actually getting back to Stra”hot”ski (Yvonne raises this from an earlier conversation)…Zach coined that
Baldwin: He coined that phrase?
Yvonne: He started using it as a website (jokingly)
Baldwin: Isn’t there a hotski.com website?
Yvonne: Strahotski.com
Baldwin: Nice. Have you seen Strahotski.net? Porn (laughs). A little different (cracks up)
Yvonne: There is a Strahovski.net, I think…
I have no words. I think it stands on its own. I might go weep with joy now.
I should point out that Strahotski.net actually redirects to this site.

We’ve added a slew of new gear to the Strahotski Store.
You can be the first on your block with a cool Strahotski.com mousepad, sticker, or “Got Strahovski?” T-shirt! There are a wide-variety of items to choose from, many of which are available in several colors. Help spread the word about Yvonne Strahovski and Strahotski.com!

They make a great stocking stuffer, too!
All the gear comes from CafePress.com, and the profit goes to supporting the site. Let us know in the comments if you see anything else on CafePress that you would like with a Strahovski message on it. It’s fairly straightforward to add new items.

We apologize for the downtime here at Strahotski.com. It seems our hosting provider had some power troubles that took down the site for over 12 hours.
They were upgrading some things pre-emptively so hopefully we can trust it to be super-stable from here on out.
At least it wasn’t on Chuck Monday, right?!

Well, well, well. It’s been just over a month since Lykaon and I first launched Strahotski.com, and I don’t think either one of us realized how much support we’d get. We started this site not quite knowing what to expect, only knowing that Yvonne Strahovski is a beautiful and talented actress. It seems like quite a few of you readers out there agree with us!
To give you an idea of how many fans have found their way to this site, I thought I’d share some of our server stats with you.
Stats for the First Month of Strahotski.com
|
Posts: 50
Unique Visitors: 22,629
Pageviews: 286,485
Biggest Referrer: Google
Most Popular Feature: Photo Gallery (no surprise there)
Most of our visitors came from the US, Canada, and Australia. But we’ve also had visitors from 93 other countries, as varied as Peru, Saudi Arabia, and Thailand! Those are pretty amazing stats, and Lykaon and I are thrilled by how awesome the turnout has been. Not to mention, all the people we’ve heard from in the comments and on the forums have been totally cool.
Looking for a Way to Support Strahotski.com?
I’d also like to take this opportunity to point out a way you can help support this site. You may have noticed Lykaon and I have added a section to the sidebar (on the bottom-right) called Got Strahovski? From there you can download episodes of Chuck from iTunes or Amazon.com, and purchase Yvonne Strahovski memorabilia from eBay. Those are all affiliate links, so a portion of each sale goes directly toward our hosting bills. There is also a PayPal donate button where you can securely send a donation via credit card, no PayPal account required.
And if you’re looking for a free way to support Strahotski.com, go sign up for the forums!

I’ve added a new album called Sea Patrol with 15 new pictures of Yvonne to the TV Shows gallery. These are screen captures from her stint on the Australian TV series.

Reader Ludwig came through again and found these pictures for us on the forums of a Sea Patrol fan site.

Four new pictures have been added to the gallery.
One is another collage from the “Headland” TV show and can can be found in the new Headland gallery. Two are promotional shots from the show, and one is a picture of Yvonne at some red carpet affair.

I’ve also done a little bit of clean-up on the galleries. There’s now a TV Shows album which contains the new Headland gallery. There’s also now a gallery for The Canyon in the Films album (though it only has one lone promo shot).
Since the pictures got placed elsewhere in a logical manner, there is no longer a movie gallery in the miscellaneous album.
Whew. I know it’s only 4 pictures, but man was that a lot of work! I’ve got some new photos of her in a different television show that should be going up this week.
Also, check out the forums, register, and post!
Special thanks to Ludwig and latincandy78 for the new pics.

In the never-ending effort to make Strahotski.com and one-stop shop for Yvonne Strahovski news and information, we are pleased to announce the launch of the Official Strahotski.com Forums!
We’ve gone a little bit unorthodox with our choice of forum software and chosen to go with Vanilla. It allows us to do away with categories entirely and lets us have only one — Yvonne Strahovski.
I’ve noticed that a lot of fansite forums will have lots of categories that tend to spread the posts out a little too thin, making the forums less active than they may otherwise be. Hopefully, we can increase participation by making sure every visitor sees every post.
It’s pretty basic forum software, but I think it will get the job done. You can sign up here, and once you’re approved to post you can upload an avatar to personalize your posting.
I’m not going to make a really long-winded rules and guidelines post about behavior on the forums unless it becomes necessary. Suffice it to say, I reserve the right to moderate at my will to ensure things stay clean, fun, and respectful.
Yvonne’s the topic of conversation and you can talk about her and anything related to her until you’re blue in the face. Please remember, however, that she should be treated with the utmost respect at all times.
So without further ado, get to posting!
