Save Chuck: Letter Writing Campaign

Editor’s Note: I’ve bumped this post to remind people to send their letters.  There are a number of other initiatives online to help out as well which you can find in our forums.

strahovski-ep106-034.JPGAs some of you may already know, a number of fan sites in the Chuck community have called for fans of Chuck to write letters to NBC to ask for renewal of the show.

These letters could be as simple as a plea for renewal, or more complex with some personal feelings about the show and what it means to you.

I’ve already mailed my letter off, and I urge you all to do the same if you feel so inclined.  Sending a letter via snail mail makes a much bigger statement than simply typing a few words on the computer, or signing an online petition.

The address(es) for mailing letters to NBC is:

NBC’s Chuck
3000 W Alameda Ave
Burbank, CA 91523

Ben Silverman
Co-Chairman
3000 W. Alameda
Admin Building
Burbank, CA 91523

Angela Bromstad
President of Primetime Series
100 Universal City Plaza
Bldg 1320, 4th Floor
Universal City, CA 91608

I imagine the first two addresses end up in the same place. I only sent my letter to the first, but it is at the sender’s discretion which address to choose.

We try to keep the main site clutter free, but we all want Chuck Season 3.  More Chuck means more Yvonne Strahovski, and if you’re a fan of Strahotski.com then you’re also a fan of Yvonne!

I’ve also started a thread in our forums where you can post your letter.  I’ve posted mine there and I’m eager to read others!

Be sure to check out the awesome postcards that were posted in the thread for an alternative to a letter.

Silverlake Video

patricia_rae_thumbThis isn’t exactly Yvonne Strahovski related… ok, who am I kidding it’s barely related to Yvonne at all… but I do have a piece of news related to Patricia Rae, a good friend of the site.

She’s co-producing (and starring in) a movie!

On top of that, though, she’s recruited Mark Christopher Lawrence (Big Mike) and Scott Krinsky (the Jeff half of Jeffster) to star.

Looks like “Chuck” actors will have strong representation in the film with that cast.

The name of the film is “Silverlake Video the Movie” and the script was written, produced, and directed by Patricia Rae’s partner, Matteo Ribaudo of Make it Happen Films.

Keep an eye out for it as I’m sure it’s bound to make good use of our favorite “Chuck” Stars!

Strahovski Fan Map

Tungsten, one of the users from our forums, has put together a snazzy interactive fan map. Each pin on the map represents a fan that has asked to be added to the map. You too can get added, and see additional stats by visiting the map’s forum thread.

Edit: If you leave your city or region as well as country in the thread, Tungsten can place the pin without putting it in the center of the country.

Lykaon and I like the map so much, we’ve decided to give it a permanent home on the main site. So, to see updates to the map as more people are added, you can visit it on it’s new page.

Impressions of Yvonne

strahovski-nycomiccon-01.JPGSo we’ve talked about how beautiful she was, and we’ve talked about the Strahotski Bear.

And if you’ve been in our forums, we’ve talked circles about all of the juicy information about Chuck from the panel.

But the one thing I feel like I haven’t really conveyed are my impressions of Ms. Strahovski from the NYC Comic Con Panel.

First off, I want to say that I’m incredibly grateful to Yvonne for how perfectly gracious she was to not only me, but all the fans who attended the panel.

She was a real trooper, and she took everything in stride.  She is clearly a first-class lady.

I know that I’m not a complete weirdo, but she doesn’t know that and for her to give me (and the rest of her fans) the benefit of the doubt shows a real solid side of her personality that shows how grounded she really is.

Unlike on Chuck, Ms. Strahovski had the opportunity to smile a lot at the panel, and her smile is absolutely infectious.  I’m not just talking about beauty here, but just the ability to draw people in with that smile.

Also, I can’t explain enough how radiant Yvonne is.  And again, I’m not just talking about beauty.  She sparkles; she lights up the room.  It is hard to not just stare at her because she is just that kind of star.

But all of that aside, the best impression I got of Yvonne is that she’s just a person.  A normal, fun-loving person who cares about her fans and is extremely gung-ho about her work.

We may all know that she is far more beautiful than most human beings, but I’m not sure she knows that — and perhaps that is what makes her most beautiful of all.

Yvonne Strahovski seems to be having a ball being a star, and I for one think she deserves all of the glory and happiness that this life can give her.  I hope she becomes a mainstay of Hollywood for decades to come.

I <3 Yvonne Strahovski

I woke up this morning (after being left at the hotel yet again by Lykaon) and realized that today was the big day!  I was finally going to meet the lovely and talented Yvonne Strahovski.

Lykaon woke me up at a painstaking 6am to make sure I was ready for the big day.  We then headed down to Port Imperial to catch the Ferry.

We got to the convention center at 8am and were saddened to learn that we weren’t allowed to wait in line specifically for Yvonne until 10am.

So we sat.  And sat.  And along the way we met a very nice professional photographer, and a couple of Strahotski.com readers, Carastille and Reen426.

The time finally arrived and we got a seat in the fourth row; plenty close to Yvonne.

After a Chuck recap, she came in and wow.  I know I’m just a bear, and partial to the bear ladies, but Yvonne was stunning.  I didn’t know humans could be that pretty!

I was really nervous.  What if she didn’t like me?  What if she had another bear in her life?

The Q&A session started and Lykaon jerked me up (with little a care for my well-being).  Second in line.  This was going to be good.

Lykaon got the mic and started by introducing himself as the webmaster of the site.  Yvonne said, “WoW.”  (Lykaon tells me there is audio that he’ll put up on the site later.)

He offered me up to her and there was a few moments of confusion, since no one knew the protocol for delivering a bear to a pretty lady.

Finally, the witty Chris Fedak had the answer — “Throw it!”

And there I was hurdling through the air until Mr. Fedak finally caught me.  And then he handed me over and I was face to face with Yvonne.  I had finally made it home.

Later in the panel someone asked her who her craziest fan was and she held me up stating, “Probably the guy who made this site!”  (She’s right, he is pretty crazy.)

This will be my last blog for Strahotski.com since I have a big life ahead of me now with Yvonne.  Thanks for all of the support!

Lykaon says that when he gets home to real internet he will provide even more info and lots more pictures of both me and Yvonne.  Look for it today or tomorrow!

Goodbye!  Wish me luck with Yvonne!
