I know it’s been a while between updates. Although Yvonne has been here and there, we’ve not come across any particularly juicy tidbits with pics that we had a right to post.
You can always check our forums, though, where the fans frequently post pics and info about Yvonne’s appearances at parties and such.
On to the news — Digital Bits is reporting that Chuck has been announced for the first season release of the DVDs.
Included will be:
- 4-disc set with all Season 1 episodes in anamorphic widescreen video with Dolby Digital 5.1 audio
- Declassified Scenes (deleted scenes)
- 2 featurettes (Chuck’s World and Chuck on Chuck)
- Chuck vs. the Chuckles gag reel
- Chuck’s Online World gallery of web originated mini-featurettes
- Playable demo of EA Sports’ Madden NFL 2009 for the Xbox 360
No word on whether the set will be release in Blu-Ray at this time, but it looks like quite a collection of fun which is sure to yield lots of new screen captures for all of those anxiously awaiting more Yvonne.
Downside is that it’s not scheduled for release until September 16, 2008. That’s a few months away, but that date does give us a heads up on when the new season will start.
Generally, these sorts of DVD sets are released a week or two before the next season starts so we should be seeing Season 2 of Chuck shortly after 9/16.
I know I’m excited about this. Hopefully the lovely Yvonne Strahovski gets ample time in the special features.
UPDATE: Here’s another link to an article on the DVD set, courtesy of bzzg from the forums.
UPDATE 2: It looks like Amazon.com has Chuck - The Complete First Season up for preorder. As luck would have it, they’re currently having a sale on TV DVDs.- Rob

It’s been awhile since I was told I would be able to post my own updates on Strahotski.com, but as you may have read, I’ve been busy working on a feature film titled “Soccer Mom.” Long story short, we wrap principal photography tomorrow (March 10th).
On to the juicy news. My trip to Paleyfest is officially secured and it’s thanks to those who donated to send me. I’ve been working on this movie for free which kinds of tightens my budget a bit, so my deepest thanks go to those who donated. You will not be disappointed! My sister will be joining me to take nice shots of me and the cast (I heard we were allowed to take pictures with the cast and stuff, correct me if I’m wrong), and I will post my write up the moment I get home! Pics will obviously be included as well.
Oh, and I’ll tell you what Yvonne says when I tell her we’re getting married one day.

Happy Holidays from Strahotski.com!
Rob and I couldn’t be happier with the community that’s built up around the site, and in this time of giving we’d just like to say thank you to all of you who have made this site so successful.
With Chuck on hiatus and the holidays upon us, our post count may slow down a bit over the next week or two, but I’ve compiled a list of things you can do to keep Yvonne close during the holidays.

- Visit the Strahotski Forums — they’re extremely active and it’s a great place to bond with fellow Yvonne fans!
- Get Strahotski Gear — nothing says lovin’ like a “Got Strahovski?” t-shirt. Impress you friends and attract new Yvonne fans!
- Check out the Strahotski Gallery — it doesn’t matter how many times you’ve seen them before, there’s no such thing as too much Yvonne!
- Read Chuck Reviews — I wrote my reviews on each episode, catch up during the offtime! Give us your take in the comments.
- Deck the Halls — with 5 fan wallpapers and 7 official Strahotski wallpapers, you can adorn every computer you find with Ms. Strahovski!
With that much stuff to do, you can always get your Yvonne fix as we wait for the return of Chuck and the other exciting projects that Yvonne has in store.
Lastly, we’d like to wish a special Happy Holidays to Yvonne.
Without her, this community would never have been able to come together. Feel free to leave your Holiday wishes for Yvonne in the comments. Who knows if she’ll read it, but it’s the thought that counts, right?

Since NBC refuses to start re-airing Chuck for us to swoon over, we’re desperately in need of something to pass the time.
We need something to entertain us while making sure we get our Yvonne fix. We fill the void with wallpapers and discussion, but that’s never enough.
So Rob and I have come up with a new game –
Six Degrees of Yvonne Strahovski

Thanks to the University of Virginia, you can play the Kevin Bacon game with any actor (or actress) on the planet.
Being new to Hollywood, you’d think Yvonne would be pretty distantly connected to the movie industry, but UVA’s Oracle seems to disagree. She’s surprisingly well-connected for someone new to the scene.
Here are some base rules:
- It has to be an actor/actress people have heard of. A good rule of thumb is that IMDB should have a picture of the actor at a minimum.
- You have to use her real name - Yvonne Strzechowski. The Oracle doesn’t recognize her current stage name.
- Enter Yvonne’s name first, then the actor you want to connect to her. You can choose movies, TV, or both. We only used movies.
- It has to be the shortest path. You can’t intentionally skirt through 13 movies for the sake of it.
- Post your biggest numbers here and let’s see who can find the longest link to Yvonne!
It may sound silly, but it’s easy getting caught up in this. You can spend hours trying to think of actors that she may only be distantly connected to.
– Play the Game Here –
Right now you only have to get a number greater than 4 to be better than Rob and me. Good luck!

IGN has an article up comparing Evangeline Lilly to Yvonne Strahovski.
In particular, they’re focusing on the fighting prowess of their two banner characters, Losts’s Kate Austen and Chucks’s Sarah Walker, respectively.
VS
It’s a close match right now, with Sarah Walker barely edging out Lost’s Kate Austen. Let’s get the Strahotski.com clan in there to show IGN which lady has the bigger fans!

BuddyTV has an article up comparing Rachel Bilson to Yvonne Strahovski. No offense to Ms. Bilson, but I don’t think she really stands a chance here.
VS
It doesn’t look like Yvonne needs help, but if you want to add insult to injury you can check out the article and vote for Yvonne.
Thanks to reader Scott for tipping me off to the article.

Chuck is up for best new comedy at the People’s Choice Awards.
You can vote here so go vote! If Chuck gets awards, surely they won’t take it off the air!
Thanks to reader Scott for the tip.

Okay, so when I watched the first episode of Chuck I wrote a review of it on my personal blog. You can check it out here.
This was a few weeks before Strahotski.com was born, so the review never made it over to this site. I actually reviewed the first 3 or 4 episodes over at my personal blog (you can find them all in the television category).
But that’s really not why I’m writing. I’m writing because of one little comment I made in that post about Yvonne:
Though not your typical hottie, she exudes a lot of cuteness which can take a girl far.
A fair number of my friends took issue with this statement. They couldn’t understand what I meant when I said she wasn’t a ‘typical’ hottie. By their estimation, she was a very typical hottie — tall, blonde, and sexy.
Sure she has all of those qualities, but I think what stood out to me was her smile. She has a unique set of teeth that clearly haven’t undergone too much dental work.
Everyone proceeded to treat me like I was crazy, and life went on. Until now, when I ran across this article, titled “Nothing But The Tooth.”
So I’m not the only one who thinks Yvonne Strahovski’s teeth are one of her defining (and hot) characteristics. That’s a relief. I hate being crazy.
Anyway, I think Yvonne’s smile and teeth are totally hot. I think it’s one of the many things that makes her stand out in a crowded arena of hot actresses. I hope she never ever ever feels the need to have them worked on.
And that’s the whole tooth.

So when Yvonne Strahovski first hit my radar, I only found her listed as Yvonne Strzechowski. I didn’t pretend to know how to say it, and I certainly couldn’t remember how to spell it.
Then she was suddenly Yvonne Strahovski. Well that was a welcome change in terms of my own memory and ability to quickly spell her name.
But Google sure thinks that when I search for Strahovski what I really mean is Strahovsky. Now that’s clearly not what I mean, but I wonder why Google thinks that?
As difficult as Strzechowski was to pronounce and say, it was Yvonne’s birth name and I feel kind of bad that she felt the need to abandon it just to cater to people who were so xenophobic that they didn’t wanna bother learning how to spell it.
On the other hand, changing her name to the phonetic spelling of her Polish family name does make it easier for her to get her name out there and attract fans. Surely fans are a staple of any long acting career.
I’ve often wondered exactly how the process of changing one’s name for acting goes down. Are actors advised to change their names or do they decide to do so on their own?
Did NBC strongly recommend it for their own ratings, or did Ms. Strahovski decide to do it for the good of her career?
I guess we may never know.
