NY Comic Con Pics

I’ve made it back, and as Strahotski Bear has already made it known — it was a total rockin’ success!  And I’m more impressed with Yvonne Strahovski than I was before.

There were no signings, so I didn’t have the opportunity to literally meet Yvonne, but giving her the bear was just as sweet of a reward.  I tried to be respectful and keep my distance; after all I don’t want her to think me the looney.

Just got back from a grueling weekend of New York City and I have lots of other thoughts to post, but I figured that if I didn’t get these pics up tonight someone would put a mark out on me.  And that would be bad.

So here we have 35 new pictures in the New York Comic Con Gallery.  They were all pain-stakingly taken by me with my little camera from the fourth row.  I took out the particularly bad ones for both your and Yvonne’s sake.

There are tons of pics floating around I’m sure, so I don’t know if I bring anything new to the table.

But my pictures are all about Yvonne (and Strahotski Bear as you’ll see).  I think I heard Chris Fedak and Josh Schwartz were there too, but there was this blinding light blocking them from my view. /shrug

Enjoy!

I <3 Yvonne Strahovski

I woke up this morning (after being left at the hotel yet again by Lykaon) and realized that today was the big day!  I was finally going to meet the lovely and talented Yvonne Strahovski.

Lykaon woke me up at a painstaking 6am to make sure I was ready for the big day.  We then headed down to Port Imperial to catch the Ferry.

We got to the convention center at 8am and were saddened to learn that we weren’t allowed to wait in line specifically for Yvonne until 10am.

So we sat.  And sat.  And along the way we met a very nice professional photographer, and a couple of Strahotski.com readers, Carastille and Reen426.

The time finally arrived and we got a seat in the fourth row; plenty close to Yvonne.

After a Chuck recap, she came in and wow.  I know I’m just a bear, and partial to the bear ladies, but Yvonne was stunning.  I didn’t know humans could be that pretty!

I was really nervous.  What if she didn’t like me?  What if she had another bear in her life?

The Q&A session started and Lykaon jerked me up (with little a care for my well-being).  Second in line.  This was going to be good.

Lykaon got the mic and started by introducing himself as the webmaster of the site.  Yvonne said, “WoW.”  (Lykaon tells me there is audio that he’ll put up on the site later.)

He offered me up to her and there was a few moments of confusion, since no one knew the protocol for delivering a bear to a pretty lady.

Finally, the witty Chris Fedak had the answer — “Throw it!”

And there I was hurdling through the air until Mr. Fedak finally caught me.  And then he handed me over and I was face to face with Yvonne.  I had finally made it home.

Later in the panel someone asked her who her craziest fan was and she held me up stating, “Probably the guy who made this site!”  (She’s right, he is pretty crazy.)

This will be my last blog for Strahotski.com since I have a big life ahead of me now with Yvonne.  Thanks for all of the support!

Lykaon says that when he gets home to real internet he will provide even more info and lots more pictures of both me and Yvonne.  Look for it today or tomorrow!

Goodbye!  Wish me luck with Yvonne!

Quest for Yvonne Day #2

Well I finally made it to New York.  Lykaon made me wear a seatbelt, of course, which I find disdainful.  Real bears don’t wear seatbelts and neither should I.

Mrs. Lykaon told me that my bow didn’t match my shirt and that if I was going to impress Ms. Yvonne Strahovski I would surely have to change it to a pink bow.  Pink bows aren’t very manly, but Mrs. Lykaon is a pretty lady too so she must know what the pretty ladies like.

After the 4 hour drive, Lykaon left me in the hotel room while he went out on the town.  He didn’t even leave me the password to his computer so I could blog!

It wasn’t all for nought, though.  Lykaon and Mrs. Lykaon took the NBC Studio Tour.  No sightings of Yvonne there, but they did pick up some official Chuck gear.  (And they saw a few of the SNL cast which was a bonus)

It’s only one more day until I finally get to meet Ms. Strahovski.  At least I hope I get to meet her.  Not only is she a lot prettier than Lykaon, but I think she’s got to be nicer.  They made me sleep on the couch last night with only a Strahotski.com t-shirt to cover up with!

I’ll keep you updated.  I’ll make sure Lykaon takes his camera and voice recorder to the panel so that we can get maximum Yvonne coverage.

New York Comic Con

Hi!  Strahotski Bear here.  I’m a new contributor to Strahotski.com; and in fact new to this world in general.

It all started when Lykaon custom ordered me from the Strahotski.com store.  It was a rough trip in a plastic bag for a few days, but I finally found my way to him.

Apparently, I’m to get a new owner in the next few days.  I’m very excited to meet Yvonne Strahovski, but if I am unable to meet her I guess I will have to live with Lykaon a while longer.

Since Lykaon is so very busy, I thought I would chronicle our trip to New York City to see Ms. Strahovski at the New York Comic Con.

Will we get to meet her?  Or ask her a question?

We just don’t know right now, but if all goes well I will find myself staying with Yvonne.  Wish us luck!

Yippee-Ki-Yay, Yvonne Strahovski!

It’s not much of a consolation for the show being on hiatus for the next month, but I have a couple of additions to the gallery for your perusal.

First up is a new fan wallpaper from reader James, and second is a new motivational poster from reader Carterman (via the forums).

A lot of Chuck viewers were disappointed that the Die Hard references in Chuck Versus the Santa Claus didn’t include John McClane’s signature line.  It was therefore only a matter of time before someone figured out a way to work it in!

If you have any creations you’d like us to include on our website, email it to us: submissions@strahotski.com. Enjoy!
