Patricia Rae - Red Hot Mama

Editor’s Note: I know this is a deviation from our normal ‘All Yvonne Strahovski, All the time’ mantra, but this was an amazing opportunity to publish an interview with an awesome actress. Besides, I didn’t figure you guys would mind another attractive and talented woman to admire. - Lykaon

Patricia RaeI was given the opportunity to sit down with Patricia Rae, aka Morgan’s Mom, last Thursday.

She offered to do an interview with me, face-to-face, to discuss her character and working with Yvonne. We hope you enjoy the surprise!

Devon Newberry: First of all, obviously, I’m from Strahotski.com. The first question is going to be, did you get to meet her?

Patricia Rae: You know what, I would have to lie and say “yes,”… I haven’t seen her yet. She didn’t feel well, so my shoot date got moved and I came in and shot my scene instead of her.

DN: Compared to other shows that you have worked on, what was it like to work on “Chuck” thus far?

PR: It’s a great set and all of the actors are very wonderful. The crew is so lovely, and very welcoming. From the minute you get there, the makeup and the hair girls are very sweet. “Oh, we love you! We want you to come back!” the wardrobe says “Oh! Put that away for her cause’ she’ll come back and we’ll have outfits for her!” and the ADs [assistant directors] are very nice. The 2nd time I came back they all said, “Morgan’s Mom is back!” It’s great because they say I’m a MILF!

DN: Was Joshua Gomez a good son?

PR: I think he was a little devil, haha!

DN: Were you a big fan of “Chuck” before you got the role?

PR: I don’t watch television on a regular basis to begin with, but it was one of those shows that if it was on, I’d watch it and see what’s going on. I’ve always got my eye on the arc and style of every show, because I know I could possibly get called in for a role. So, I knew the characters, thank God. I knew the premise of the show. Before I went in for the audition, I went on NBC.com, and started watching every episode, so I could get the rhythm of the show, the comedy. It’s got film comedy style, ya know? The comedy in the script is really smart, and it’s all in the writing.

NYCC Wallpaper

As if you haven’t gotten enough of Yvonne Strahovski at the New York Comic Con this past weekend, I’ve made a wallpaper dedicated to the event.

(I promise — the NYCC avalanche of pics & news is almost over — just in time for Chuck Vs. the Suburbs next week!)

NYCC Yvonne Strahovski Wallpaper

This one isn’t too fancy, but it captures some of Yvonne’s cuter facial expressions of the panel.  And, of course, there was no way to keep Strahotski Bear out of the shots.

You can check out the Wallpapers Page for various resolutions for your desktop pleasure.

If you have any works of art involving Yvonne Strahovski, send it to us at submissions@strahotski.com!

Enjoy!

Even More NYCC & Yvonne

I know we already have 40 pics in our New York Comic Con Gallery, but I’ve just added 10 more.  These are excellent close-ups taken by Eric M. Chu.

We had the opportunity to meet Eric while waiting in line for the panel; and how fortuitous for us to meet a professional photographer!  His camera was bigger than my head.

You can check out the first page of the gallery for the other eight.  They’re all worth a look.  It’s not like we needed more proof that Yvonne Strahovski is gorgeous; but these new pictures make the case yet again.

Enjoy!

NY Comic Con Pics

I’ve made it back, and as Strahotski Bear has already made it known — it was a total rockin’ success!  And I’m more impressed with Yvonne Strahovski than I was before.

There were no signings, so I didn’t have the opportunity to literally meet Yvonne, but giving her the bear was just as sweet of a reward.  I tried to be respectful and keep my distance; after all I don’t want her to think me the looney.

Just got back from a grueling weekend of New York City and I have lots of other thoughts to post, but I figured that if I didn’t get these pics up tonight someone would put a mark out on me.  And that would be bad.

So here we have 35 new pictures in the New York Comic Con Gallery.  They were all pain-stakingly taken by me with my little camera from the fourth row.  I took out the particularly bad ones for both your and Yvonne’s sake.

There are tons of pics floating around I’m sure, so I don’t know if I bring anything new to the table.

But my pictures are all about Yvonne (and Strahotski Bear as you’ll see).  I think I heard Chris Fedak and Josh Schwartz were there too, but there was this blinding light blocking them from my view. /shrug

Enjoy!

I <3 Yvonne Strahovski

I woke up this morning (after being left at the hotel yet again by Lykaon) and realized that today was the big day!  I was finally going to meet the lovely and talented Yvonne Strahovski.

Lykaon woke me up at a painstaking 6am to make sure I was ready for the big day.  We then headed down to Port Imperial to catch the Ferry.

We got to the convention center at 8am and were saddened to learn that we weren’t allowed to wait in line specifically for Yvonne until 10am.

So we sat.  And sat.  And along the way we met a very nice professional photographer, and a couple of Strahotski.com readers, Carastille and Reen426.

The time finally arrived and we got a seat in the fourth row; plenty close to Yvonne.

After a Chuck recap, she came in and wow.  I know I’m just a bear, and partial to the bear ladies, but Yvonne was stunning.  I didn’t know humans could be that pretty!

I was really nervous.  What if she didn’t like me?  What if he had another bear in her life?

The Q&A session started and Lykaon jerked me up (with little a care for my well-being).  Second in line.  This was going to be good.

Lykaon got the mic and started by introducing himself as the webmaster of the site.  Yvonne said, “WoW.”  (Lykaon tells me there is audio that he’ll put up on the site later.)

He offered me up to her and there was a few moments of confusion, since no one knew the protocol for delivering a bear to a pretty lady.

Finally, the witty Chris Fedak had the answer — “Throw it!”

And there I was hurdling through the air until Mr. Fedak finally caught me.  And then he handed me over and I was face to face with Yvonne.  I had finally made it home.

Later in the panel someone asked her who her craziest fan was and she held me up stating, “Probably the guy who made this site!”  (She’s right, he is pretty crazy.)

This will be my last blog for Strahotski.com since I have a big life ahead of me now with Yvonne.  Thanks for all of the support!

Lykaon says that when he gets home to real internet he will provide even more info and lots more pictures of both me and Yvonne.  Look for it today or tomorrow!

Goodbye!  Wish me luck with Yvonne!
