Q&A, Galleries and More

Though the site hasn’t been updated during the hiatus, there’s been a lot going on behind the scenes.  Fans have been hard at work supplying us with Yvonne Strahovski content.

First off, I was humbled to be asked by NBC to participate in a conference call with Zachary Levi and Josh Gomez this past Friday.  Though I didn’t get to ask a question, it was a lot of fun as they talked about geekdom and what we can generally expect from the rest of Season 3.

The transcript of that interview should arrive in my inbox shortly and I hope to post the entire thing here on Strahotski.com for your perusal.  Until then, remember to watch Chuck starting tomorrow at 8pm EST for the rest of Season 3.

Two drawings have been added the a new Fan Art gallery to show off the artistic endeavors of Yvonne Strahovski fans.  Both are impressive additions to the site, and the latter is featured on one of our official Strahotski.com t-shirts.

Bzzg came through with some new screen caps from Headland that I’ve put up in the gallery.  She originally sent me a whopping 320 screen caps, but in the interest of storage space I narrowed it down to what I considered to the best of the bunch.

Dan from the forums has donated a lot of time into capturing some choice images from Mass Effect 2.  He turned up his rig as high as it would go to get some super high quality screen captures of Miranda.  He sent only the best, and the best are a beautiful testament to both the game and Yvonne Strahovski.

Nima has also been hard at work to help promote the site.  He whipped up a promotional video for the site which is extremely well done and will hopefully attract even more fans to the site.  I know there has to be a few Yvonne Strahovski fans out there that haven’t joined the ranks of Strahotski.com yet.

We really appreciate the submissions of everyone!  We are but a few people, and when the Yvonne Strahovski fan-base chips in to provide content we just get that much more Yvonne out there in the world.

Have anything you’d like to submit to the site?  Send us Yvonne Strahovski related stuff at submissions@strahotski.com!

Episode 3.07 Captures

The mask has been retrieved and it has yielded 72 new screen captures to the gallery for Episode 3.07 – Chuck Versus the Mask.  This is the last gallery until March 1st, so savor every picture!

This was yet another good episode for Yvonne Strahovski.  Not only did it feature multiple wardrobe changes, but the tender moment at the end with Chuck was beautifully done by Yvonne.

Though a lot of people feel that the Shaw/Hannah thing is too fast, we have to remember that more time has passed for the characters than it may seem like to us.  Yvonne Strahovski really did an amazing job selling her distrust and then eventual attraction to Shaw.

Even when she was mad with him earlier episodes there were tiny hints in her face that she was mildly intrigued.  I hope the Chuck folks know what they’ve got with such an amazing actress.

Strahovski and Masks

I’m buried in snow, and my dreams are haunted by Mass Effect 2 but it’s time to finally come up for air.  Nothing like an episode of Chuck to bring back some normalcy.

After enjoying some of the most fun on television last week with a big helping of nacho samplers, it’s time to do it all again for Episode 3.07 – Chuck Versus the Mask.

“It’s murder on your ears.”

After a break from Shaw, he’s back in what I considered to be a much better use of his character.  Though his fascination with Sarah seems sorta sudden, it’s fun to watch him flounder.

I credit the writers a lot here.  It’s easy to bring in a new love interest for Sarah, but handling it this way seems much more mature.  Add Hannah to the mix and it’s a surprisingly believable road block.

Only time will tell how serious these new budding relationships are, but I like this particular quadrangle more than some of the romantic tension of the past.

I don’t even completely hate Shaw this week… not completely anyway.

“When do I get to blow something up?”

The humor usually comes from Morgan, Chuck and Casey but I liked the subtle humor between Shaw and Sarah, especially the coffee incident.

Casey was mostly background fodder this episode, but as impressive as always.  I wonder if he turned off the conversation between Chuck and Sarah because they “gab like girls” or because he’s on to Shaw.  My guess is the latter.

I really like when we get those hints of Casey being smarter than his character is often written.  I credit a lot of that to Adam Baldwin’s ability to give knowing looks at the right time… or is that knowing grunts?

Cute Yvonne Strahovski

I don’t usually make tiny posts like this, but forum-reader Sandrinha whipped up an animated gif of Yvonne that I just cannot ignore.

It’s taken from the Chuck Season 1 gag reel and it shows Yvonne reacting to a stunt gone bad.

(It might take a sec to load… be patient…)

I think we can all agree that Yvonne Strahovski adds adorable to other favorite adjectives, like hot, gorgeous, and beautiful.

Episode 3.06 Captures

I’ve sifted through an added a quality 64 new screen captures to the gallery for Episode 3.06 – Chuck Versus the Nacho Sampler.

This episode offered some phenomenal shots of Yvonne Strahovski.  There are the obvious caps of the ‘Frak Off’ shirt and the bedroom scene afterward, but also some really fun facial expressions.

I’m sure that some people will notice that there are some missing shots that certainly happened in the show.  It’s a fine line to walk between capturing what’s there tastefully and not.  It’s only a judgment call by me, but some things didn’t make the cut on those grounds.
