A few pictures

Sorry it’s been slow ladies and gentlemen. While the “Chuck” front has been slow, Yvonne took the time and attended various parties last week for Details Magazine and a screening at the Prada Beverly Hills Epicenter. We’ve got some high-quality pictures of our favorite and ever-so-lovely Australian right here for you.

Devon versus the Bodyguards

Forget the photos you’ve seen and the episodes on TV. Yvonne is absolutely stunning up close in person. Absolutely stunning. But I do have very, VERY disappointing news. I didn’t get the chance to snag an autograph OR a picture. Once the panel wrapped, she signed autographs for a good 5 minutes or so then was escorted out of the Cinerama Dome. When I went over to ask for an autograph or picture, she walked to the other side of the stage, so I made way over to her side, and her bodyguards (or agents?) were telling everyone that there would be no more signings from her or pictures, and off she went. Talk about breaking my heart haha.

I didn’t write anything down, but I remember quite a bit of it to give you a juicy bit of info. Again, and this can’t be said enough, Yvonne was absolutely stunning. The members in attendance were Josh Schwartz (Cocreator/Executive producer), Chris Fedak (Cocreator/Executive Producer), McG (Executive Producer), Zachary Levi, Yvonne Strahotvski, Joshua Gomez, Ryan McPartlin, Adam Baldwin, Vik Sahay, Julia Ling, Mark Christopher Lawrence, and Scott Krinsky. Sarah Lancaster was ill and couldn’t make it.

They started the night off with “Chuck versus the Montage” because well, a strike bogged any chances of a new episode. The cast was then introduced (I was the only one to give Yvonne a standing ovation), and questions and hilarity ensued. Zach and Josh are so funny together as it is, but in person as well, they bounce off each other like bouncy walls. It was incredibly funny watching these two go on and on about video games, Godzilla vs. (I forgot the name, but he can multiply himself!!), and more video games. Josh and Ryan were making fun of each other all night as well, and McG made fun of everyone a little bit. Oh, I also met McG before the whole event happened. I went to get something to drink and on my way back he was walking up the hallway. We shook hands, introduced ourselves, and I ended up wishing him luck on “Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins.”

Back to topic, they touched up on Season 2 as well. According to Josh Schwartz, the Writer’s just started today working on everything, and they start shooting the pilot for season 2 in the beginning of May! This brought a cheer. They briefly talked about the Chuck comic that didn’t bring too much of a cheer, but the cast acknowledged the lack of response and made it somewhat humerous, and that was fun.

Like I said, I gave Yvonne a standing ovation when she originally was called up, but midway through the panel, I believe McG or Zach asked what the fans would want to see next season. It was kinda loud from people applauding and chattering from a comment right before they asked the question, but when they asked what we (the fans) wanted to see, I yelled “Yvonne!!” and it was quiet all of a sudden. I had Zach and Yvonne both look right at me and I just kind of smiled. Zach actually pointed at me and smirked, it was pretty funny. Then I got the chance to ask a question when they handed it to the audience. I got my turn at a question, and I told Zach that Spiral was awesome, but the question was for Yvonne, and I said something along the lines of “In an interview you said that before your first kissing scene Zach had eaten a big philly cheesesteak sandwhich loaded with onions.” Zach and Yvonne started laughing and Zach explained how he was hungry and he saw the sandwiches and just had to have one. Yvonne said she made him have altoids afterward, and I told Zach I would’ve been brushing my teeth for 6 hours straight before the scene happened. Then the usher took the mic away because we kind of started this mini-convo and the show had to continue, oops!

The photos attached are the best of Yvonne I could snap off and Yvonne if you happen to catch this, my apologies if you don’t like them. I tried my best!

I got my Nerd Herd shirt autographed by Josh Gomez, Ryan McPartlin, Mark Chrisopher Lawrence, and Adam Baldwin, and I got my copy of Spiral on DVD autographed my Zach. I asked him for a picture and he said he’d love to but it all depended on if he was allowed to, which ended up being he wasn’t allowed to. They dragged him out too.

I’ll be sure to add info as I remember it or whatever the case may be, but as far as new info go, there wasn’t too much. Just more about the creative process and they will be making an appearance at this years Comic-Con which I will be attending.

A very special thanks to those who donated to send me and a very sincere apology that I couldn’t snap off too many pictures!

My first post! Paleyfest Update!

It’s been awhile since I was told I would be able to post my own updates on Strahotski.com, but as you may have read, I’ve been busy working on a feature film titled “Soccer Mom.” Long story short, we wrap principal photography tomorrow (March 10th).

On to the juicy news. My trip to Paleyfest is officially secured and it’s thanks to those who donated to send me. I’ve been working on this movie for free which kinds of tightens my budget a bit, so my deepest thanks go to those who donated. You will not be disappointed! My sister will be joining me to take nice shots of me and the cast (I heard we were allowed to take pictures with the cast and stuff, correct me if I’m wrong), and I will post my write up the moment I get home! Pics will obviously be included as well.

Oh, and I’ll tell you what Yvonne says when I tell her we’re getting married one day.
