Carson Daly Screen Captures
We’ve added 30 new screen captures of the Carson Daly Interview this past Thursday with Yvonne.
I was smart enough to record the interview in HD this time which makes for higher quality screen captures.
Please pardon the black bars on the side. That’s how the show was broadcast, and I didn’t figure it was worth the effort of editing them out one by one.
Enjoy!

I’m so uber fascinated by Yvonne, have you noticed how she looks like a lot of Hollywood actresses. With the KTLA interview she looks definitely like Kate Hudson especially when she laughed, in Chuck she resembles Julia Stiles, then Portia Da Rossi, then there’s a little Naomi. But I swear when she came out for the Last Call she looked liked Rebecca Romijn. That’s the thing about Yvonne, it’s nit just her character which is a mystery and she is a mystery in real life, You just dont who’ll she’ll look like. And as far as I’m concern Im liking whatever she looks like, and definitely the 2 front tooth is sexy for me.

she is really tall, i never thought she’d be that tall. I guess Zach is really a tall guy.

Just an FYI, those screen caps are actually just upconverted 1080i - that’s partially why there’s black bars, Last Call isn’t broadcasting in HD yet, just the standard 4:3 480i. I don’t see why they couldn’t at least go widescreen, though. NBC seems to be better than other networks when it comes to 16:9 as they just letterbox their TV shows instead of center-cutting them like the other networks do (and like they do with their sports, but eh, that’s not as big a deal as even widescreen formatted for a center-cut still lets you see a lot more with sports). But then again, when it comes to HDTV in general, weird decisions tend to get made.

Yah, what carterman said.
In my experience, upconversion does make it slightly prettier which is better for screenshots but no good for YouTube.
The lesson learned for me with this is that I should record both versions and then put the SD on YouTube and get screen captures from the upconvert.

The upconverted version is a better starting point for youtube. Just use “Autogk” to convert it to 640×480 avi — Autogk automatically crops out the black bars in the process. That’s what I did for the video of this interview I linked in the forum.
I usually don’t bother, but to get best quality for youtube, convert it to flash video first. Keep the flash under 350kbps and youtube won’t do any encoding (youtube doing any encoding usually make the video look much worst). And there is a trick to get above 350kbps without youtube encoding but that’s anther subject.
