New Pictures

Today we have quite the treat.

It seems that Strahotski.com readers Ludwig and latincandy78 have been working hard to find pictures that I haven’t seen anywhere else on the Internet of Yvonne Strahovski.

I don’t know where they got them, but I’m excited that they’ve chosen to let Strahotski.com be the host of these new photos.

From their donations, I’ve added 7 pictures to the Appearances gallery, 3 pictures to the Promotional gallery, and 5 to a brand new gallery called ‘Movies‘ where you can find some screen captures from some of the movies Yvonne has done.

I’ve thus far resisted it, but I’ve finally broken down and watermarked all of our images. Reports have been coming in that the pictures were being used by other fansites without credit, so I thought it easier to just watermark them.

I’ve tried to keep it as unobtrusive as possible. What do you guys think about the watermark? Too annoying?

Yvonne Strahovski, Leia, and Interviews

Here it is. An interview with Yvonne in her Leia costume about the episode.

It’s pretty short, but well worth the watch. Have I mentioned how hot her accent is?

Thanks to Ludwig for the tip.

New Pic & More

There’s a single new picture up in the gallery of Yvonne holding a gun while drinking a cup of coffee. How hot is that?

Also, for those who wanted the bigger and better quality video of the Craig Ferguson interview, reader Paul has hosted it as a torrent. It can be found here.

If you’re dying to have a Strahotski.com forum signature (which probably no one is), I’ve made this banner ad. I guess you can use it anywhere you want. I certainly won’t mind the publicity.

There’s also a new interview floating around I’m told, but I can’t seem to find it on YouTube. The link I was sent didn’t work. If you’ve got the link to the interview, let me know and I’ll post it up here!

Honoring Strahovski

Chuck is up for best new comedy at the People’s Choice Awards.

You can vote here so go vote! If Chuck gets awards, surely they won’t take it off the air!

Thanks to reader Scott for the tip.

Yvonne Strahovski with Dark Hair?

One of our readers uncovered this little gem on YouTube.

As you can see, our muse has brown hair instead of her trademark golden locks (can they be trademark after only being on television for a couple of months?).

Unfortunately, the interview doesn’t get a peep from Yvonne but it’s a fun interview nonetheless about the show. Zach Levi is obviously a funny guy.

Plus he says Strahotski in the interview. I take that as a personal advertisement from the star of the show himself!

Time will tell whether her hair was brown for the show. With any luck, we’ll get an episode where she goes brown — then we’ll have hi-res screen captures to swoon over!

Thanks to Ludwig for the find.

Tiny Little Things

This is a small update, but if anyone would like to link to us, I’ve made some tiny little images that people can use on their affiliates pages.

I’ve been out of the fansite loop for a while, but apparently this is the new way to link everyone together, so I’d hate to be behind the times!

I’ll probably make more later, but that’s a start. If you’ve got a website, feel free to link to us and include any of the above images!

If you have an Yvonne Strahovski related site that you’d like us to link from our Affiliates page, let us know!

As an added bonus, you can check out our beta forums now too. It’s all pretty vanilla at this point, and there aren’t many bells and whistles. I’m not even going to include it on our pages list just yet. But if you’re dying to talk about Yvonne, you can start now.

Yvonne Strahovski’s Teeth

Okay, so when I watched the first episode of Chuck I wrote a review of it on my personal blog. You can check it out here.

This was a few weeks before Strahotski.com was born, so the review never made it over to this site. I actually reviewed the first 3 or 4 episodes over at my personal blog (you can find them all in the television category).

But that’s really not why I’m writing. I’m writing because of one little comment I made in that post about Yvonne:

Though not your typical hottie, she exudes a lot of cuteness which can take a girl far.

A fair number of my friends took issue with this statement. They couldn’t understand what I meant when I said she wasn’t a ‘typical’ hottie. By their estimation, she was a very typical hottie — tall, blonde, and sexy.

Sure she has all of those qualities, but I think what stood out to me was her smile. She has a unique set of teeth that clearly haven’t undergone too much dental work.

Everyone proceeded to treat me like I was crazy, and life went on. Until now, when I ran across this article, titled “Nothing But The Tooth.”

So I’m not the only one who thinks Yvonne Strahovski’s teeth are one of her defining (and hot) characteristics. That’s a relief. I hate being crazy.

Anyway, I think Yvonne’s smile and teeth are totally hot. I think it’s one of the many things that makes her stand out in a crowded arena of hot actresses. I hope she never ever ever feels the need to have them worked on.

And that’s the whole tooth. ;)

The Ratings

Though we focus on Yvonne Strahovski here at Strahotski.com, we understand that Chuck is a big part of what brings Ms. Strahovski to us every week.

As such, it makes sense to occasionally have a post dedicated to the show that delivered this Australian bombshell to all of us.

For those who don’t know, Chuck was not picked up for a full season before the writer’s strike. It has been reported that that decision won’t be made until the strikes are over. That could spell bad news for Chuck if the strike isn’t resolved quickly.

All that aside, here are the ratings numbers for the show thus far:

  • Episode 1.01 - 9.28 Million
  • Episode 1.02 - 8.22 Million
  • Episode 1.03 - 7.12 Million
  • Episode 1.04 - 8.23 Million
  • Episode 1.05 - 7.14 Million
  • Episode 1.06 - 7.03 Million
  • Episode 1.07 - 7.70 Million

That’s an average of 7.82 Million viewers each week. Not bad for a fledgling show. Surely enough to keep it on the air assuming the strike ends.

And Chuck staying on the air means only one thing to us — more Yvonne Strahovski for everyone!

Editor’s Note: Credit to Chuck Online for the numbers.

Episode 1.07 Captures

We’ve added 50 new screen captures to the gallery from “Chuck Versus the Alma Mater.”

This episode yielded a lot of great action shots of Yvonne with a gun and rolling around on the floor. In addition, I think I got some good shots of her crying at the end, as well as some really good smiling ones.

Also, check out the last 5 of the series for screen caps from next week’s preview. Yvonne Strahovski in purple lingerie… need I say more?

I almost forgot! Take a look at our tiny little Sarah Walker page.

Enjoy!

Strahovski and Alma Maters

This week’s episode was titled “Chuck Versus the Alma Mater” and boy was it a lot of fun. I was sad to see that Yvonne got another episode without a lot of focus, but I quickly forgot as the plot clipped along and we found out about Chuck’s sordid past.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again — Captain Awesome is awesome. I guess that doesn’t even need to be said since it’s in his name, but whatever.

That guy makes me laugh everytime he’s on screen. In this episode, we get to see him in his element surrounded by frat guys, throwing footballs at Chuck’s… manly parts.

I like how Casey is coming along as well. He seems to be getting more screen time.

I do wonder, however, why Chuck would go to Casey everytime he has problem rather than the smoking hot chick who’s in charge of ‘handling’ him. As awesome as Adam Baldwin is, I’d pick the hot chick everytime.

I really expected there to be a little bit more Sarah subplot for Yvonne Strahovski this week, given that the bulk of the plot centered around Bryce Larkin.

Sadly, she was relegated to the back burner while Chuck focused on his own issues with his ex-roommate.

Nonetheless, Yvonne did get into some pretty fun firefights this go ’round and that scene at the end where she watches the video with Chuck was extremely well acted.

When she walked out of the room with tears in her eyes, she makes the viewer believe that she was barely holding it together in there. That’s hard to do convincingly, and Strahovski did a fabulous job.

Next week is “Chuck Versus the Truth” and promises to be a riot, with a new girl eyeing Chuck. This week may be have been green week on NBC, but next week may be as well as Sarah gets jealous of Chuck’s new romantic interest.

Screen captures for “Chuck Versus the Alma Mater” should be up this afternoon.
