Yvonne Strahovski’s Teeth
Okay, so when I watched the first episode of Chuck I wrote a review of it on my personal blog. You can check it out here.
This was a few weeks before Strahotski.com was born, so the review never made it over to this site. I actually reviewed the first 3 or 4 episodes over at my personal blog (you can find them all in the television category).
But that’s really not why I’m writing. I’m writing because of one little comment I made in that post about Yvonne:
Though not your typical hottie, she exudes a lot of cuteness which can take a girl far.
A fair number of my friends took issue with this statement. They couldn’t understand what I meant when I said she wasn’t a ‘typical’ hottie. By their estimation, she was a very typical hottie — tall, blonde, and sexy.
Sure she has all of those qualities, but I think what stood out to me was her smile. She has a unique set of teeth that clearly haven’t undergone too much dental work.
Everyone proceeded to treat me like I was crazy, and life went on. Until now, when I ran across this article, titled “Nothing But The Tooth.”
So I’m not the only one who thinks Yvonne Strahovski’s teeth are one of her defining (and hot) characteristics. That’s a relief. I hate being crazy.
Anyway, I think Yvonne’s smile and teeth are totally hot. I think it’s one of the many things that makes her stand out in a crowded arena of hot actresses. I hope she never ever ever feels the need to have them worked on.
And that’s the whole tooth.

I really like her because of her teeth, she’s just perfect like any one of us and there’s no need for her to undergo dental work, she’s human!
One of the main reasons why I truly love Julia Stiles is because of her not-so-perfect teeth, it really brings character to a Hollywood star, seeing a star with normal teeth is a blissful change from the dental work that every other celeb has undergone.

I think Yvonne’s teeth/smile are extremely sexy. You aren’t crazy; I agree. But ultimately at the end of the day, she’s still the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen.

I do notice most of her pictures dont show any teeth. Her set of teeth doesnt make her any less beautiful. But if she did get her teeth done, she would look more appealing to the majority. And that’s very important if she wants to climb up the celebrity ladder. I don’t know what her goals are, but hope she stays true to herself, and is a good role model for other girls. We need more of that. I’m sick this californiacation.

Here is my professional opinion. I would not do a thing to her teeth. They are fine as they are.
At most, if I have to do something, I would go as far as a little ortho work, straightening the right lateral incisor (#7) a little. The two central incisors (8 & 9) are OK. They look a little longer because the two laterals are just a touch short. But overall, a slight slant on the lateral incisors are normal, especially on females. So I don’t wouldn’t even recommend othro.
I definitely would not shorten the two centrals, because you risk sensitivity. Teeth have layers for a reason.
And I would definitely NOT put veneers on her. Nothing says fake more than fake teeth or fake boobs. We would have to remove a .5 mm layer to put the porcelain on. And every time one is replaced (~10 years if you’re lucky and not have them fracture) we have to go deeper, and further into the gum line. Plus you just can’t replace 8 to 10 mm of natural color and translucency with just .5 mm of porcelain. Under the right lighting conditions, you can always tell they are veneers.
And don’t even talk crowns (caps). Imagine putting your teeth into a pencil sharpener, that’s kinda like what has to be done before we put on a crown.
I hope she doesn’t succumb to Hollywood pressure and mess up her perfectly fine teeth.

Personally, I like Yvonne’s eyes. Why bring this up in a forum about teeth? Because I think every one has a different opinion about what makes a person sexy. No one person is “crazy” because they find a particular body part sexy, be that teeth, eyes, ankles, or whatever.

I noticed her teeth in the pilot but if that is the worst thing about her I say the rest of her more than makes up for it. I was developing a hotness equation for my blog and she was the inspiration and whom all would be measured against. I enjoyed your blog Lykaon!

This is interesting.
I noticed her teeth during the pilot, as well. I noticed that they were ‘imperfect,’ but that that characteristic somehow made her more attractive. As i watched, i thought i picked up on something — that when she smiled or spoke, she did so in a way that hid her teeth a bit. Almost as if that was something she was a bit insecure about. But, how she moved her mouth was what made her mouth somehow ‘less standard,’ and somehow attractive and cute….
It wasn’t until later that i realized she was Australian, and that perhaps i was misreading some things. It may simply be that what i was seeing was merely her way of working into the ‘American accent.’
I didn’t notice it much in the Craig Ferguson interview, but by then, i wasn’t really looking for that….
Whatever. It doesn’t matter. She’s fantastic.

Her smile is AMAZING. The imperfections are PERFECT. I would say that it is one of the most beautiful smile that I have ever seen. I watch the show just to see her smile.
