Episode 1.10 Captures

We’ve added 70 new screen captures to the gallery from “Chuck Versus the Nemesis.”

I give up. Any less than 70 pictures just doesn’t do the show justice, so even though I try to keep it manageable, it seems that 70 is the new ballpark.

I’m sure you guys don’t mind looking at 70 pictures of Yvonne, right?

Bryce needs to keep his hands off of Sarah. Other than that, this episode was awesome!

Enjoy!

Strahotski.com - 1 Month Later

Well, well, well. It’s been just over a month since Lykaon and I first launched Strahotski.com, and I don’t think either one of us realized how much support we’d get. We started this site not quite knowing what to expect, only knowing that Yvonne Strahovski is a beautiful and talented actress. It seems like quite a few of you readers out there agree with us!

To give you an idea of how many fans have found their way to this site, I thought I’d share some of our server stats with you.

Stats for the First Month of Strahotski.com

Most of our visitors came from the US, Canada, and Australia. But we’ve also had visitors from 93 other countries, as varied as Peru, Saudi Arabia, and Thailand! Those are pretty amazing stats, and Lykaon and I are thrilled by how awesome the turnout has been. Not to mention, all the people we’ve heard from in the comments and on the forums have been totally cool.

I’d also like to take this opportunity to point out a way you can help support this site. You may have noticed Lykaon and I have added a section to the sidebar (on the bottom-right) called Got Strahovski? From there you can download episodes of Chuck from iTunes or Amazon.com, and purchase Yvonne Strahovski memorabilia from eBay. Strahovski and Nemeses

Here we are with Episode 1.10 behind us, “Chuck Versus the Nemesis.”

It marks the return of Bryce Larkin, the further complication of our favorite relationship, and the most action-erific episode of the season.

strahovski-promo-007.jpgIf you’re one of those people that think Chuck is heavy on humor and too light on action, then this episode is for you. There are more guns, kicks, and stand-offs than you can shake a stick at. Ms. Yvonne Strahovski kicks major butt in this episode.

At the same time, this storyline is completely heart-wrenching. It’s everything you remember about high school love, and everything you hated about it at the same time. But it’s wonderful.

We’re not really left with any more of an answer than we had the week before, but it doesn’t matter.

For once, Morgan is actually tons of fun this episode. His triangle with Ana and Ellie is a delight to watch. And we always have Captain Awesome, who’s … amazing … as always.

Yvonne was particularly wonderful this episode. She managed to look ’stressed’ the entire episode, while remaining beautiful and convincing.

You could actually see the agony of her situation weighing on her in every seen, hidden behind whatever emotion she needed to convey.

I’ve said it before, but this girl is no fly-by-night tv beauty. She’s one of the best actresses to hit television in years.

Although last week’s cliffhanger was pretty awesome, this one may just tug at your heart strings a little bit more and make you eager to see next week’s episode.

As always, you can expect HD screen captures from the episode tomorrow afternoon. Until then, discuss the episode here or in more detail on the forums!

Note: The word ‘Nemeses’ is the plural of ‘Nemesis’ and is not a typo. ;)

More Chuck == More Yvonne Strahovski!

Hot off the presses, it looks like NBC has optioned Chuck for the full season.

For those who didn’t know, Chuck had only been optioned for 13 episodes, and it was unclear whether the show would be picked up for the entire season.

According to the TV Guide article:

Sources confirm to me exclusively that the Peacock has picked up Chuck and Life for the full season.

It’s great to hear that NBC heard the buzz and saw the fans behind the show. We Yvonne Strahovski fans no doubt helped them make their decision!

That means more screen captures, more Yvonne, and more of a great television show for everyone!

Thanks to reader Mat for the tip on the forums.

KTLA Screen Captures

I came back from my Thanksgiving vacation to get my first Christmas present of the season — 25 screen captures from the KTLA Interview on November 20, 2007 with Yvonne.

Since Strahotski.com is based on the east coast, I was concerned that we might miss out on this whole interview, but thanks to many loyal readers and even the webmaster over at KTLA, we’ve managed to get everything we could hope for!

Thanks again to Ludwig for coming through with these captures.

New Pictures of Yvonne from Sea Patrol

I’ve added a new album called Sea Patrol with 15 new pictures of Yvonne to the TV Shows gallery. These are screen captures from her stint on the Australian TV series.

Reader Ludwig came through again and found these pictures for us on the forums of a Sea Patrol fan site.

Vote for Chuck!

There are a couple of new online polls out. Eonline is asking its readers which of the new shows this season (including Chuck) should be cancelled, and which should be picked up by the networks. Also, Chuck has been nominated for a People’s Choice Award for Best New TV Comedy, and your vote will help decide who wins.

Lets see if we can show our support for Chuck and help it stay on TV! Thanks to forum users Popi and latincandy78 for letting us know about these polls. Check out the Strahotski.com Forums for lots more Yvonne Strahovski related talk!

KTLA Morning Show Interview with Yvonne

LA based TV station KTLA had an interview today with our favorite starlet on their morning show. It’s great to see Yvonne making more and more appearances on TV. Among other things, Yvonne discusses how she landed her role on Chuck, what makes an ideal boyfriend, and what words give her the most trouble in an American accent. There’s a great part where we get to hear her switch back and forth between her American and native Australian accents.

Thanks to Jeremy from KTLA and reader Devonnewberry for getting the video online, and to latincandy78 and Ludwig for getting it on YouTube for us to share!

Episode 1.09 Captures

We’ve added a whopping 70 new screen captures to the gallery from “Chuck Versus the Imported Hard Salami.”

strahovski-ep109-13.jpg strahovski-ep109-57.jpg strahovski-ep109-69.jpg

Once again, even though I hand-pick these captures to be the best of the episode, I couldn’t keep it to less than 70 without losing good stuff.

This episode was a blast to watch, and even more fun to screen cap!  There were some great scenes in this episode.

Enjoy!

Strahovski and Salami

Did I say last week was the best episode? So soon, but THIS week was the best episode, Episode 1.09 - Chuck Versus the Imported Hard Salami.

When Chuck was pitched to NBC so many months ago, this storyline must have been the pitch. The show has hit fullstride. It has pulled itself up from charming with potential to be the absolute best new show this season.

Mark my words, the viewership will go up. The story is so angst-ridden, so honest, so fun, and so engaging. It is what television is all about.

strahovski-app-001.jpgIn this episode, we find out that Chuck’s new gal Lou is friendly with a pretty important smuggler. That smuggler is bringing in some pretty hot goods, and our team has to figure out what it is. I’ll leave that part to the viewer.

It is rare that a television show can make the viewer feel so much, and this is all thanks to a remarkable cast of characters.

Zachary Levi and Yvonne Strahovski have enough chemistry to carry the show alone. Every emotion comes across in their faces. We don’t need words with actors like these.

I said last week that the most important thing for the show to do was to keep Sarah and Chuck apart, and the way in which they’ve done so is heart-breaking. They can’t be together now. It’s so complicated and so delightful at the same time.

Knowing that the characters really love each other is a common plot device; knowing that they know is even better.

This show is billed as a comedy, plays like an action, and at its core is a romance.

We may have been fans of Yvonne Strahovski here for a long time, and even Chuck. But now Chuck has finally arrived.

Last week I hoped Chuck would be huge. This week I know it will be.

As always, screen captures will be up soon. Until then, check out our forums and talk about the episode!
